Senior Slump? Snap Out from It! We know you have worked very hard within the last years that are few each of those challenging courses, getting taking part in numerous extracurriculars, accepting leadership positions, etc. And, you’re certainly working very hard now on your university applications. You may feel very tempted to put your school work off in support of other, more exciting opportunities (senior ditch day, anybody?) But trust us, now is not the <a href=""></a> time to slack off. You have come this far, and you want to ensure that you finish strong. And not on your own comfort of mind, though we do hope you have your very own internal motivations. Realistically, though, what’s going to probably motivate you most to keep those year that is senior up is just a little one thing called the <strong>Mid-Year Report</strong>.</p> <p>The Mid-Year Report is a very Common form that must be submitted by your counselor after very first semester senior year grades become available. Our office takes these grades into account, and expects that the trend in your grades will carry on. That means that when you had been earning grades that are high, there is absolutely no reason those As shouldn’t be reflected on your Mid-Year Report.</p> <p>And while we’re regarding the topic, senioritis isn’t an excuse to let your second-semester year that is senior slip, either. We will be delivered a last transcript from your high college, and will be sure that those grades are intact, too. As always, we reserve the directly to r<span id="more-10838"></span>escind any admission decisions.</p> <p>So, moral of the story is: continue working hard, up until ab muscles last day’s senior year. And, prepare to operate even harder (but have a lot of enjoyment too) in university!</p> <div> <div> <div> <article> <h1>The Art of the Health Supplement</h1> <p>Our first due date is just around the corner. Can you believe it?! December 1<sup>st</sup> is less compared to a month away. Pupils applying for talent-based majors must submit a bit more information, therefore we have clarified a things that are few the procedure.</p> <p>In addition to finishing the Common App and USC Writing Supplement, pupils deciding on the <strong>Iovine and Young Academy</strong>, <strong>Roski School of Fine Arts</strong>, <strong>class of Architecture</strong>, <strong>School of Cinematic Arts</strong>, <strong>School of Dramatic Arts</strong>, while the <strong>Thornton School of musical</strong> must finish the Arts Supplement.</p> <p> In order to do that, students need to respond ‘yes’ to the question, ‘Do you intend to submit an art supplement which means your special talent in one or even more associated with arts is regarded as element of the admission process to University of Southern California?’ on the Writing health supplement. This will allow for the web link to Slideroom to appear within the left column of Common App.</p> <p><strong>Auditions</strong>:</p> <p><strong>Thornton</strong>: Students must be prescreened before being invited for the audition. For this, pupils must upload tracks to the ‘Fall DecisionDesk portal’ by the <strong>December 1st</strong> deadline. They must also complete the Art Supplement in Slideroom. Thornton will send students an audition confirmation in late December. Please only submit a Slideroom health supplement for a major to which you are applying.</p> <p><strong>Dramatic Arts</strong>: To schedule an audition for the BFA, students must suggest their top three audition date preferences on Slideroom. If students are not able to attend an audition that is live they must select ‘Recorded Audition’ on Audition Date Preference #1 and upload a recording on the ‘Media’ tab in Slideroom.</p> <p><strong>Interviews:</strong></p> <p><strong>Dramatic Arts</strong>: All applicants applying to the BA in Dramatic Arts program are expected to schedule an interview with an admission therapist either in person or on the telephone. Pupils can sign up for this interview on the Dramatic Arts site.</p> <p><strong>Portfolio submission:</strong></p> <p><strong>Fine Arts</strong>: In addition to answering questions about the student’s imaginative experience, students must submit 10-15 images on the Media tab on Slideroom. These are typically added one at a right time and cannot be added in PDF format.</p> <p><strong>Iovine and Young Academy</strong>: Applicants are expected to submit an original video of only 1 minute that illustrates an original idea for an innovative product, service or system that solves an issue, addresses a need, or provides the opportunity. In addition to the video, pupils may submit as much as 5 media files including visual images, motion graphics, original music recordings, poems, and essays. Every one of these components should be uploaded to the Media tab within Slideroom.</p> <p><strong>Architecture</strong>: Students can upload drawing, sketching, painting, graphic design, photography, video clip, web-design, sculpture, ceramics and furniture design project examples to the Media tab on Slideroom. The admission committee would like to see proof of imagination. Up to 25 examples may be submitted.</p> <p><strong>Cinematic Arts</strong>: Depending on this program to which the student applies, pupils must submit a personal statement, writing sample, creative profile list, reactions to brief response questions, and URLs in Slideroom.
